Most car window tinting websites have poor quality content with designs that do little to convert visitors into becoming customers. Simply displaying a gallery of tinted vehicles and listing tint film options is not going to convince customers to pick up the phone.
The previous Cool Glass website was no exception. It didn’t contain much content, hadn’t been updated in years, wasn’t structured for SEO, and the design used a nondescript car template design that looked like any other automotive website. The pages and photos on the site took a long time to load, and the site was hosted on a budget server package.
You need to take the extra step and think about what a prospective customer needs from your website. A professional, well-designed website that loads quickly and contains informative, well written content will reflect well on any business. First impressions count. You won’t get a second chance.
We each judge a website within seconds of arriving. For Cool Glass one of the first questions a customer is going to ask themselves is ‘Can I trust this company with my car?’.
Discovery and Strategy
I spent time with Cool Glass to research their business, and to understand what they wanted to achieve with their website. We drilled into what factors were important to their customers and how we could communicate this on the website.
We identified the following USPs:
- Quality – Cool Glass are approved window tint installers to prestigious main dealerships
- Expertise – the business has over 20 years experience
- Facilities – a dust-free workshop for optimum installation
- Service – a readiness to listen to customer requirements and discuss film types, benefits, options and application
- Peace of Mind – full insurance and 7 years manufacturers’ warranty on films
I researched what Cool Glass’ competitors were doing online and presented this to Cool Glass. We then drew up a plan for moving forward, agreed design direction, and the strategy for writing the SEO friendly content for the site.
Optimised for Google
I wrote the copy for the site and optimised the pages for SEO with plenty of Google friendly content. Regional landing pages were added and optimised to attract customers throughout Sussex, Hampshire and Surrey.
Once the content was down I sketched out wireframes for the home page and internal page layouts, and collected the available graphic assets, photos and logos.
In contrast to the typical car website which uses a dark colour palette, the new website is clean and fresh in white and turquoise blue.
Designed to generate enquiries
A customer can easily contact Cool Glass with phone numbers clearly visible, and a quick enquiry form is prominently displayed on all pages so customers can leave their contact details and be called back. A How to Find Us page was added to assist customers needing directions to the workshop.
Top Google ranking
The website ranks in the top positions in Google organic search for all target locations within Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire. The resultant traffic converts to a high number of enquiries. Cool Glass are delighted, and the business continues to go from strength to strength.
